STEPPENWOLF - OR THE SOUND OF URBAN SPACE RealismusStudio 27 June 26 July 2009 Opening: 26 June, 19h Rineke Dijkstra, Ronald Gerber, Christian Jankowski, Nicolas Kantuser and Reynold Reynolds An experimental short film (Steppenwolf, 2007) by young Berlin filmmaker Nicolas Kantuser in which the discontented isolationism of the central figure in Hermann Hesse's novel "Der Steppenwolf", Harry Haller, provides the starting point for a contemporary study of misanthropy in the metropolis.
The topic of the exhibition is the complex relationship between the individual and society in the 21st century.www.ngbk.de
